Mount Calvary Baptist Church (MCBC) in Lanham, MD, acted as host to members of the Ugandan Kid’s Choir and their chaperones from April 14 through April 17. Coming from the poorest regions of Uganda, there are several teams of choirs traveling across the United States. Each choir is made up of a total of 10 children – five boys and five girls – acting as ambassadors of hope for the poor children back home and spreading the message of God’s love all along the way. It is an opportunity to garner financial support to go toward efforts to end poverty and hunger.
The team who visited MCBC will be touring the East Coast for eleven months, returning to Uganda in December. MCBC was happy to host this team upon their very first visit to the United States!
